I have spent my time as a supervisor improving the store by training cashiers and editing filing systems to be more effective. I am also responsible for ordering instruments and repairs for medical/dental/public health professionals and students.

This lab studied the parasites Trypanosoma brucei and Trypanosoma cruzi. My role was to study how these organisms adapt to their environment via the use of mechanosensitive protein channels. I came up with a novel procedure to purify this protein in its native state and performed Western Blots to confirms its presence. I also studied and synthesized.

Orange County, California Area

This lab worked to sequence the DNA of plants native to California to examine how to offset the growth of invasive species and track genetic hybridization. I primarily purified DNA to be sequenced and prepared dried tissue samples of elemental analysis.

Fullerton, CA

In this lab, I worked to purify proteins and characterize their activity through kinetics assays. I transformed bacteria into mutants to produce protein of interest and purified protein using various columns (salt, nickel, etc.), but primarily assayed the proteins using radioactive C-14.
