As a math tutor dedicated to helping individuals who struggled with the subject, I employed a personalised and empathetic approach to guide each student toward achieving their academic goals.Understanding that each learner has unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles, I began by assessing their current level of understanding and identifying specific areas of difficulty. This initial assessment allowed me to tailor my tutoring sessions to address their individual needs effectively.I focused on creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students felt comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, recognizing that such moments were valuable opportunities for growth. By fostering a positive mindset and instilling confidence in their abilities, I helped students overcome their fears and anxieties about math.In addition to explaining mathematical concepts clearly and concisely, I utilised various teaching strategies and resources to reinforce learning, such as visual aids, real-life examples, and interactive activities. I encouraged active participation and engagement during sessions, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Patience and persistence were key qualities in my tutoring approach, as I understood that mastering math concepts often required time and practice. I provided ongoing support and guidance during the lesson, as well as offering them a 24/7 service over WhatsApp. I differentiated myself to other tutors by offering support when they needed help. Waiting around for 3-6 days for the next lesson when you have questions is not something I wanted for my tutees hence I told them if they ever have a question they should message me and I sent them voice notes of an explanation as well as a tutorial of answering the question or a similar one.Overall, I believe I did a stellar job and have received positive reviews from each of my tutees and I take pride in the job I did.
