"Building automation, also known as Building Management System (BMS), is an integrated system that connects various electrical and mechanical systems within a building. These systems include lighting, security alarms, fire detection, closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), and more. The goal of building automation is to enhance building capabilities, reduce energy consumption, and eliminate human errors in controlling and managing these systems.There are various methods for building automation: 1 Implementation using PLC (Programmable Logic Controller): In this approach, information is transmitted over existing electrical wires. Modules are installed to receive data from the control center, and when necessary, they turn on or off relevant devices. 2 Use of Separate BUS Systems: In this method, separate data transmission wires are used alongside power lines. Information from sensors is sent to the control center, and after analyzing the data, commands are sent to actuators. 3 Design and Implementation using KNX: KNX is one of the most widely used standards in building automation. It enables control over multiple functions. 4 Design and Implementation of Wireless Smart Homes: In this approach, wireless technologies are used to connect building components.Building automation allows users to monitor and control other systems even when they are not physically present in the building. For example, one can check CCTV camera images, turn heating and cooling systems on or off, and even adjust room temperature. Additionally, smart systems help reduce energy consumption and optimize efficiency."
