Though, looking back, these outings helped me to build relationships with my coworkers that would last well past the conclusion of my internship. To this day Mahmood and I have stayed in close contact. Just this past winter break, when we were both in town, he invited me over to dinner at his house to hear about what had changed in my life since he had gone back to college.
