Bartawi General Contracting is a family business in contracting that’s been in existence for over 60 years. As CEO, I restructured corporate debt and managed 500 people.

We started with one location in Dubai, grew it to 28 units across the GCC, using franchising and dark kitchens , created and scaled multiple healthy food brands, for gen Z healthy eaters.And then sold it to a $1.65b unicorn called Kitopi , that got funded by SoftBank. - First mover to utilize growth via cloud kitchens.- Created and launched multiple virtual healthy food brands on cloud kitchens.- Expanded to 28 locations across to Kuwait, KSA, UK, Iraq, and USA.- Sold, negotiated, and acquired franchisees, expanded the business from 2 company-owned units to the successful signing of both areas’ development and master franchise agreements of 24 units in the GCC.

Managed a portfolio of AED 1.2 billion in assets.

Lead a team of 10 customer service members & operations. Boosted the rankings of the Jumeirah Branch from No. 17 to No. 3; 14 positions up.

Managed a portfolio of AED 700 million in assets.brought in new business , maintained relationships with current account borrowers while increasing utilization on existing facilities. As a senior manager, I conducted meetings with clients for annual reviews of facilities, new proposals, and interims. I also analyzed financials and other relevant business data for the credit assessment.

Joined the leadership program (PAL) in the biggest bank in the UAE. Spent 1.5yrs in a rotation program until I landed my first real responsibility in corporate banking. Managed a portfolio of high net-worth and large corporate accounts - AED 500 million in assets in the large corporates division while assisting the upper management directly in bringing in new business and maintaining relationships with current account borrowers while increasing utilization on existing facilities extended to them.
