This Project focused on Data converters basics and design of 50 MHz 12 bit 1.5 bit per stage Pipelined ADC , my role involved designing of:1- flash SUB ADC Comparator (Strong Arm Latch)Survey of different Comparator Architectures.Read a thesis about dynamic comparators. Developed an equation based design methodology for Strong Arm Latch.Testing of dynamic comparators for offset and noise.2- Multiplicating DAC (Switched Cap. Amplifier)Survey of different OTA Architectures.Read papers about Gain boosting technique.Implementation of Fully Diff. Gain boosted Telescopic switched cap. Amplifier with folded cascode OTA as Auxiliary Amplifier.implementation of SC CMFB.

This was a Full time training Conducted By Dr.Hesham Omran It lasted for almost 8 weeks of intensive online sessions, 22 quizzes, 8 labs and 3 mini projects using Cadence Virtuoso and ADT. The course focuses on developing "Designer's Intuition" through carrying out analysis by inspection and verifying hand-analysis and theoretical concepts using extensive circuit simulations. It also covers core topics in analog IC design such as: 1.Basic CMOS amplifier Toplogies 2. Cascode Amplifiers 3. Frequency Response. 4. Current Mirrors. 5. Different OTA Topologies. 6. gm/ID Design Methodology. 7. Negative Feedback. 8. Stability and Compensation. 9. Noise. 10. CMFB. 11. Slew Rate and PSRR. 12. Variability and Mismatch. 13. Biasing and References. 14. BGR and Constant-gm Circuits. In addition to three mini projects. Project 1: Two-stage Miller OTA: Design procedure of two-stage Miller OTA, frequency compensation, RHP zero, verification Project 2: Fully differential folded Cascode OTA: Design of folded Cascode OTA with capacitive feedback, behavioral and actual CMFB network. Project 3:Digitally controlled variable gain amplifier(Two-stage Miller OTA With resistive feedback)
