I am conducting high-quality research to investigate ultra-dense networks and machine-type communication. This resulted in publishing in high impact factor IEEE journals and first-tier IEEE conferences. In particular, - Modelled and analyzed the KPIs of ultra-dense networks considering their distinct aspects and special traits in order to gauge and optimize the network performance.- Proposed innovative multiple-association scheme and investigated its performance. - Studied the physical layer security of ultra-dense networks to support machine-type communication. - investigated various propagation environment models suited to dense networks considering both the path loss and channel fading. - Studied the impact of machine type-communication traffic on human-type communication in dense network environment.- Developed accurate simulations to validate the analytical results using Matlab and Python.- Considered realistic assumptions based on LTE & 5G specifications especially in the areas of the Physical Layer, Radio Resource Management, Link Budget, Propagation Environment, and Cell Association.

Accordingly, I was involved in an LTE-Advanced research project with Cairo University as a Research Assistant for two years (http://www.4gpp-project.net/).
