As the Financial Secretary with the mandate to chair revenue and expenditure committees under the leadership of the president of the association, we were able to introduce new sources of generating income aside the annual due which was the the primary source of revenue to the association to other sources such as:-Issuance of NESA-UDUS ID-Card-Undergraduate Excursion -NESA-UDUS Customized T-shirt We also achieved an increment of over 120% of revenue compared to that of our predecessor within an academic year.Our administration focused on human capital development and infrastructure as such the revenue was spent on critical projects, but to mention only a few:-Undergraduates Tutorials for UG1 and UG2-Workshop on soft skills acquisition particularly on STATA and SPSS Analyses.-Webinar on Job Hunting and Acing the Interview.-Inter-level Quiz Competition-Public Lecture presented by Mall. Bashir Achida.-Sport Activities and Competition -Acquisition and Launching of NESA-UDUS Office.Our administration ended up leaving a remarkable legacy for successive administrations to build on.

Under my stewardship as the executive in charge of the club's finances, there was a development that led to the reshuffling and merger of some executive positions having similar functions so as to achieve efficiency.As the Financial Secretary during the first semester, this development came barely three months after assuming the position which led to the introduction of new positions and merger of some existing positions such as the merger of the positions of Financial Secretary and Treasurer as Director of Finance.Being the Director of Finance and seriously looking for how to source revenue for the club, I brought forward the issue of non compliance to the payment of membership form as stated in the constitution aside this, we seek for support from our mother bodies such Federal Inland Revenue Service Sokoto Branch, Sokoto Internal Board of Revenue.We increased our membership base to a significant number and spread the gospel of taxation not only within the four walls of the university but beyond.It will interest you to know what we were able to achieve some remarkable accomplishments such as:-Inter-Departmental Debate between Accounting, Economics and Law during the first semester -Series of Virtual Workshops -Tax Education and Enlightenment Campaign within the Campus -STS-UDUS represented at both the 1st Annual ANTAS CONVENTION in 2023 and 2nd Annual ANTAS CONVENTION in 2024 respectively -Tax-Day: This event figured 1. Debate Competition between Accounting, Economics and Law 2. Public Education and Enlightenment on Tax3. Public Lecture Day with the theme: "Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms: Role of Federal Inland Revenue Service and State Internal Board of Revenues in the Implementation Process."The 2022/2023 STS-UDUS administration has left an indelible achievements and a pathway for the successors.
