• Report directly to the Executive Director to provide financial services up to and including financial statements and year-end reporting.• Review of overall financial recording and agency position including production of financial statements each month.• Assist with the management of a $4 million dollar and additional fiscal funding budgets. • Complete analysis of spending trends versus budgetary controls, forwarding recommendations regarding cost management, internal controls.• Prepare Ministry of Children and Youth Services reports - such as Quarterly year to date reporting financial reporting, year-end reporting, as well as variance and other management accounting reports. • Complete TPAR - Transfer Payment Accounts Reconciliation at year-end.• Conduct research, cost analysis, and review trends to provide recommendations for the budget.• Prepare audit file working paper for auditor.• Coordinate with auditor and assist with the on-site audit.• Manage Accounts Payable -coding of all invoices ensuring such are approved for payment.• Accounts Receivable - set up invoicing and other reimbursable expenses.• Journal entries- regular, recurring, special and payroll.• Produce financial statements regularly. • Complete bank reconciliation, bank deposit, produce cheques, and payroll tax account reconciliations and prepare the annual tax return for Northern Youth Services Inc.• Responsible for HST accounts reconciliation and return.• Payroll - verifies payroll entries are distributed to proper departments and ensure full payroll function is completed and balanced.• Complete benefit calculations regarding short-term, long-term, and extended health care benefits.• Complete: union dues calculation, RRSP calculations and reconciliation, Employer Health Tax (EHT) annual reconciliation, Worker Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) monthly remittances and annual reconciliation.• Present monthly financial statement to the Board of Directors.
