This event provided a hands-on experience for both ourselves and our juniors, enabling us to enhance and refresh our understanding of core chemical engineering subjects.

-Dairy Plant Manufacturing and UTILITIES. -Project Based Training on “Water Losses and its Optimisation”.-Prepared a complete data base of the Total Water Consumption from Raw Milk Reception to the UHT Section.-Segregated water w.r.t its type(filter, RO, reuse, sealing) and hold ups and reported either it is recovered or not.-Proposed suitable Kaizens for the recovery of unreclaimed water.-CIP Operations and Product Sustainability Validation. -Process knowledge of Pasteurisation, UHT, Filling and Packaging etc.

-FFC Goth Maachi Plant-II.-Plant Operations: Ammonia Plant, Urea Plant and UTILITIES.-Safety protocols to encounter unusual hazards at plant-site.-Line tracings and understanding of PFDs and P&IDs.-Group discussions regarding troubleshooting (equipment wise).-Visited “Raw Water Treatment Plant” at Utilities and visualised the operational functioning of Clarifier, Ion Exchange Resins, Sand Filters and Chemical Dozing. -Bryton Cycle application at the power generation from two Gas Turbines of 18 Mega Watt each.-Functioning of “Instrument Air Plant” and “Nitrogen Plant”.-Detailed survey and understating of Compressor Hall including syngas compressor, ammonia compressor, air compressor with the segregation of motor/ turbine drivers.-Process understanding: Reforming, Desulphurisation, Shift Converters, Absorbers, Strippers, Boilers, Cooling Towers, Instrument Air Plant, Urea Reactor, Distillation Columns, Evaporators, Prilling Tower etc.
