I taught him on two courses in this program, one entitled “Developing Knowledge-Based International Businesses in Emerging Economies”, and one co-taught by myself entitled “Doing Business Projects in Emerging Markets”. As this MSc program is a niche program in international business due to its focus on emerging markets, we are able to be very selective in our admissions, accepting only the best applications from around the world. Thus, Martin was one of a group of 64 exceptionally talented and hard-working students from 26 countries, at the university ranked 21st in the world in this year’s QS rankings. His performance on the program was very good, and his coursework average was in the top quarter of his class; he graduated with an upper second class degree. Much of the course work on this program consists of group work (including presentations) in which the students analyze business opportunities in emerging markets, and Martin has demonstrated very fine analytical, presentation, communication and teamwork skills. He also has a fine sense of humor and was popular with his fellow students."
