1. Developed framework to test driving performance at left-turn movement and identify the suitable in-vehicle safety message on driving behavior using Drive Safety DS-600c Driving Simulator 2. Designed scenarios via HyperDrive software for several driving conditions and recruited 30 test participants for collecting data following Houston’s demographic distribution 3. Successfully retrieved data from HyperDrive and performed data interpolation using MATLAB 4. Designed smartphone warning message application using the MIT App Inventor 5. Collected Vehicle emission data by installing Portable Emission Measurement System (PEMS) to test emissions of combustion engine of a light-duty vehicle6. Processed and interpreted data from PEMS to analyze and correlate vehicular emissions with several factors related to pavement and roadway geometry 7. Developed emission models and mathematical algorithm based on the collected data using MATLAB, Python, and Microsoft Excel 8. Conducted road test on the weaving segments of SH 288 and successfully collected data by PEMS to evaluate the impact of weaving behavior on vehicular emissions9. Used MOtor Vehicle Emission Simulator (MOVES) to develop emission factors for weekdays and light-duty gasoline vehicle for Harris county, Houston10. Proficiently used SYNCHRO, PTV Vistro, Integration, TRANSYT-7F, Highway Capacity Software (HCS), QRS II and ArcGIS to design and optimize traffic signal timing, determine Level of Service (LOS), forecast travel demand, and compile geographic information.
