Storm Restoration Model for Nova Scotia Power (NSP): Successfully designed and developed an automated model that recommended the power line technicians’ movements across the province in order to restore power to customers as soon as possible using available resources•Extensively analyzed the current power restoration efforts and identified the potential problems •Classified several linear and non-linear programming equations and developed models using various engineering software, such as GUSEK, MATLAB and Excel as possible solutions •Prioritized and managed tasks to maintain team productivity and achievement of key milestones •Successfully built and presented a final working automated model that profitably reduced the current restoration rate by at least 16% using fewer resources to the faculty and client

Fourth Year Engineering Design Project·Developed a bus rapid transit system (BRT) plan for Metro Halifax which increased the efficiency of transit systems linking suburban areas to central business districts.·This project required thorough analysis of existing transit operations, population densities, employment data and origin-destination data.·Explored potential routes and Intelligent Transportation system applications (ITS) that would benefit and increase ridership.
