A native of Memphis, TN, I’m Maia McCoy, and I hold a bachelor's degree in communication studies along with a master’s degree in communication and information with a concentration in journalism from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. While in graduate school, I worked as a sports reporter and even anchored the UT Today Show, which aired on Knoxville’s local news network, WBIR-TV.Currently, I serve as the business operations specialist for X-Pert Painting, where I analyze sales data to develop bid estimates in the highly competitive Memphis contracting market. My work involves creating strategies for auction-style bidding, making use of imperfect information to drive business success.As a true sports fanatic, I aspire to become an analyst and reporter for networks like ESPN, SEC Network, and NBC Sports, covering my favorite sports such as college basketball, college football, the WNBA, and track and field.In addition to my business experience, I collaborate with brands as a content creator and brand ambassador, leveraging social media platforms to expand brand awareness and connect with diverse audiences.
