Biologist with a specialization in freshwater ecology, botany and nature management. My work has mostly involved copious amounts of fieldwork – analyzing stream characteristics or collecting vegetation data, along with knowledge of management practices and their ecological effects. I wrote my dissertation on the role of macrophytes on nitrogen-reduction within constructed wetlands, which gave me insight into the intricacies of documenting the effects of a management tool. During my education I have become acquainted with several fields of study, such as modelling of biological data, plant and animal physiology, as well as the methods used to gain new insight. I have experience with planning and conducting experiments, as well as handling and analyzing research-data. I have performed many public presentations and am well-versed in the art of writing essays and reviews.I can quickly acquire a new skill or information, and love diving deep into a topic. From working at MicroWise, an innovative developer of equipment for water-analysis, I have obtained a high degree of independence when problem solving, and I am quick to adapt to new challenges. As a nature guide at Vadehavscentret, I taught students from grade 1 through 9 about nature, helped people plan their next nature-experience with our guides, and held guided tours both in and outside the center.
