Wärtsilä started a journey to increase customer value and improve productivity by transforming the ERP. I joined the program as a Business Development Lead to lead the future investment portfolio, delivery of high priority projects, and ensuring the delivery of the desired business impact (ROI).

Led a spare parts services business in a newly formed organisation in Marine Business. With a global organisation of over 700 people, we served maritime customers with a complete range of over 1.2m spare parts and consumables.

Joined Wärtsilä to lead a digital transformation agenda in the Services division. Responsible for leading strategy development, digital development, and high-priority programs for the Board of Management. Transitioned into a new role when Services merged with the Marine and Energy businesses, creating two complete business divisions in Wärtsilä.

Kemppi is the design leader in the arc welding equipment industry and serves customers with a partner network covering over 70 countries. Headquartered in Lahti, Finland, Kemppi employs close to 800 professionals in 16 countries and has a revenue of 178 MEUR.

Joined a team to launch a data analytics start-up. The ICS Labs helps large corporates to benefit from digital development and advanced data analytics, including AI/ML. A great team that masters vast quantities of data and hard sciences for clients to identify undervalued business opportunities and hidden trends in the market.

Led a strategy office for a leading soft tissue manufacturer in Europe (t/o of 1.0 BEUR; 2.900 employees). Held the responsibility for overseeing strategy execution, managing high-priority programs and leading product development for the professional market under the brand name of Katrin. Reported to the CEO.

Promoted to lead a strategy design and development program at the corporate headquarters in Finland. Held the responsibility for leading a team of 25 people in developing a new strategy, seeking the BoM’s approval and governing strategy execution. Reported to the CFO.

Led the corporate development for a division that offers hygiene solutions for public washrooms and workplaces in Europe (t/o of 230 MEUR). Held the responsibility for designing and delivering programs in strategy development, supply chain management, and capital investments and audits.

Led a team that designed a service transformation program for a major telecom to improve fragmented in-store performance. Our solution was based on Lean Service that effectively cut demand variance and enabled better customer throughput (time and quality).

Led a boutique advisory firm that specialized in CRM and customer value management. A great company with outstanding individuals that help clients to uplift their market potential from customer acquisition to retention and growth.

Led a business unit that provided print and online directory services for B2B buyers and sellers in Finland. Responsible for transforming an underperforming business unit by driving revenue development with R&D and moving focus to online channel. Achieved double-digit EBIT growth in two consecutive years.

Worked as a member of global teams in delivering IT system development programs for blue-chip companies in the financial services industry. Mainly involved in process analysis, redesign, testing, and deployment.
