About Maija Kinos

Over 30 years of experience in Dental Health services. Skilled in Leadership & Development, Human Resources and Financial Management.I have been a member of the planning team for the Implementation Plan of The Client and Patient Safety Strategy 2022–2026 since spring 2022. The team I’m part of is responsible for improving the practices related to the safe use of medical devices and information systems. In this position I have gained an in-depth understanding of medical device safety.In January 2023 I became a permanent expert member of the follow-up group for the The Client and Patient Safety Strategy and Implementation Plan 2022–2026 that was appointed by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. Patient safety is close to my heart, and I think it’s brilliant that the new strategy includes measures to improve the wellbeing and expertise of workers too.
