I have been a tutor since 2005, when I was still in high school. As teaching practice during college I worked with middle and high-school students and I taught elementary school and middle school students in Finland during my Comenius Assistantship in 2008. From 2009-2014 I worked as an English teacher at OpenSchool Language Academy teaching children, teenagers, and adults. From 2012 I worked with Ardmore Language Schools as an English Teacher, and later in the position of Director of Studies in their summer courses in different sites around England. Since my move to Finland in 2014 I have tried a variety of positions, only to find that teaching is really what I most enjoy doing as it affects the lives of my customers in so many great ways. Since the end of my parental leave period I freelanced my way back to teaching full-time. My goals are to include different methods of teaching and make my lessons absorbing but keep them simple at the same time. As a Director of Studies I care about supporting the teaching staff in ways each member of the crew needs it, as well as ensure continual professional development in various areas of ELT.
