ExpertiseSince 2007 I have been working with family businesses.From systems-based perspective I work with families and their businesses on topics such as effective communication and conflict resolution in alignment with governance, culture, values and goals of the entrepreneurial family.I also work with not-for-profit organisations in the areas of collaboration and conflict management.Key-principles in my work are:–      Role – Goal - Context; especially for family businesses with different contexts it is helpful to identify the explicit and implicit goals of every system and what behaviours support them in their different roles to achieve the goals they have–      Alignment between the different contexts of the entrepreneurial family–      Developing and transforming communication in families that strengthen family relationships–      Developing and transforming communication in teams with the aim of working together more effectively with energy and fun and so enhancing business effectiveness–      Focus on similarities rather than differences, reducing restraining forces in collaborationAbout meI am born into a family with on father's side a family business. The family-owned business on my mother's side ceased under the leadership of my grandfather in 1953 and rebuilt by the 3rd generation in 2000.Dynamics in both families were very different. This is how my interest in family dynamics started. What are the effects on family dynamics by a family member's behaviour, and conversely how do family dynamics affect someone's behaviour?
