Maimoonah Gori is a South African author, teacher, life coach and creative writing facilitator. Her published works include the children’s Muslim Nursery Rhymes (2002), the ‘Gravedigger’(2003)a novella set in Durban –‘25 Prophets of Allah’ (2004)stories from the Quran, 'True stories for Muslim children, 4 series’ , ‘Mandla and the Taxi War’ is a story based on taxi violence in South Africa.(2005) Her Salam and Salman colour in read books series(2008) ‘Miracles of the Prophet’((2014). She also published a story in an anthology called ‘Saffron’ (2017). She is also the author of a new series of children’s readers about a set of twins who learn about Islam through story telling.' Her workshops have published numerous books and anthologies.Her books are used as readers in schools and found in libraries nationwide.She is an accomplished teacher with local and international experience,in primary and high school level.
