Summary of responsibilities• Supervision of credit officers & sales representatives in the branch• Overall management of the branch’s loan portfolio growth• Ensuring PAR remains below the acceptable levels of 5% by implementing sound lending policies as outlined by the organization.• Chairing the Branch credit committee & giving leadership in the committee’s decisions• Ensuring all credit operations are done according to the laid down Sacco policies.• Responsible for the growth of a healthy OLB• Monitor market conditions and trends and constantly give feedback to branch for decision making. • Liaising with the head office for any correspondence involving credit matters of the branch• Maintain a department organizational structure sufficient to meet all goals and objectives• Properly motivate the credit staff• Measure department performance with appropriate metrics• Provide for ongoing training of the credit staff• Manage relations with credit reporting agencies• Manage relations with credit insurance providers• Manage relations with the sales department
