In my role as Principal in the Basin and Petroleum Systems, Malaysia Basins, I lead a Specialized Studies team for regional integration and structural / tectonics analysis throughout all the basins in Malaysia. My work includes regional mapping, sequence stratigraphic interpretation, structural analysis and stratigraphic lead generation in Malay Basin, regional geological mapping and tectonostratigraphic framework preparation in NW Sabah, and structural restoration in Sarawak. I led the Malaysia Basin Atlas, Arong Graben Prospectively, Langkasuka Basin Analysis for Malaysia Bid Round 2024 and Cenozoic Tectonic evaluation of the Malay Basin projects. In my managerial role, I oversee a team of seven geoscientists, and serving as a mentor and educator for other junior colleagues. I also teach courses on tectonics and structural analysis to the exploration community.

In my role as Principal Geologist, I focused on prospect generation in the Barmer Basin, where I successfully completed the drilling of three wells using play-based exploration techniques, leading to the Durga field discovery. My responsibilities included detailed prospect mapping, fault seal analysis, and volumetric risk assessments that advanced prospects to maturity. Additionally, I was instrumental in drilling two wells in the Jorhat area of the Assam Foreland Basin, where I employed structural interpretation and risk analysis to build a robust fault framework and ensure successful drilling outcomes.I had also acted as a structural geology and fault seal analysis SME to support other asset teams, and coached young graduates in structural geology.
