Mainul Akhtar is a Battery Researcher with a PhD in materials (expertise in Li/Na-ion batteries and supercapacitors) with Materials Science and Engineering, and Ceramic Technology background. His present research as a research fellow at University of St Andrews focuses on advanced layered oxide cathodes for Na-ion batteries as a part of Faraday Institution's NEXGENNA project. He is very keen to utilize his expertise in rechargeable battery technologies and energy harvesting pertinent to advanced battery materials synthesis, electrode engineering, cell fabrications, and materials and electrochemical characterizations.
