About Maíra Karniol

My business career began in 2001, working for The American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham). Since then, I have operated in the stock market (Capital Markets, Spanish Brokerage House) and have held management positions in the big consumer goods corporations, such as Samsung, Whirlpool and EF (Education First).In 2008 I started my masters at the London School of Economics (LSE); and after 10 years of a problem-solving experience in highly competitive markets, in 2011 I became the director of Sales and Marketing of Amata, a Brazilian Start up Forestry Company. In 2013 I started working as a senior independent consultant , having had some clients from different sizes and business models. Nowadays, as Head of Lumber- Logistics Sales and Marketing, I’m developing FSC Lumber Market based in the US state of California and elsewhere.
