I’m a change-oriented Operations Executive with over two decades of experience in operational management, strategy delivery, project management and logistics for diverse international employers, primarily in humanitarian and healthcare sectors.Career highlights include leading transformation at JCL, a community pharmacy chain, as well as delivering several complex humanitarian projects in the field for Medecins Sans Frontiers and Medecins Du Monde in remote areas of South Sudan, Nigeria, Myanmar, Laos and Nigeria. I’ve also had a number of leadership roles in South Georgia and the Antarctic, including a rewarding four-year period driving scale-up as Head of Logistics and Camp Manager for a fast-growth adventure tour operator.During the pandemic, I led setup and mobilisation of three clinics in Havant; one of my proudest achievements was opening the doors of those clinics on the first day of national vaccinations in Dec 2020, with a fully trained team of volunteers and medical professionals.My core strengths include the ability to design effective strategies in rapidly evolving or high-risk settings, then translate that strategic vision into clear plans before executing with KPI-driven operational precision to deliver objectives. Having spent much of my career in high-risk environments, my capabilities in risk analysis, control and implementation need to be sharp, in terms of security, safety and business risk.Much of my career success so far has come from getting the best from people across diverse cultures, professions and personality types. This ability has been a critical element in my skillset when managing organisations through change using a collaborative, empathetic approach to securing buy-in and building trust.Over the years I’ve learned the importance of composure, patience and empathetic listening to drive sound decision-making under pressure.
