Graduated with a First Class BSc (Hons) Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Science degree from the University of the West of England. I completed my final year Research Experimental Project on the behavioural interactions between members of the gorilla troop at the former Bristol Zoo Gardens, for which I received a First. I carried out in-person behavioural observations using a sampling method, developed an ethogram, and carried out statistical analyses using R Studio to support my findings, including a Social Network Analysis.Since graduating, I have spent my time volunteering at a number of wildlife sanctuaries to gain animal husbandry skills and experience carrying out wildlife monitoring in the field with conservation NGO’s. I’ve volunteered in a number of environments with different species, including England, Java, Laos, and Sumatra.My main interests relate to terrestrial mammals and primates, particularly involving animal behaviour and research, and the use of emerging technologies in conservation, such as GIS and remote sensing, and camera trapping. I am currently looking for opportunities to develop my practical skills through field research, ecology, and GIS roles.
