I am the primary contact and business representative for the Loreleis, responsible for correspondence with clients, benefactors, the General Alumni Association, hosts, and other a cappella groups. In this position, thus far, I have arranged performances at a Subway NC corporate event and at the Live Action Carolina Basketball Pep Rally. I create and send formal contracts to each client, specifying terms of agreement, and negotiate travel/performance fees. I maintain a file of sent invoices, indicating their status (paid/unpaid).

I organized the 40th anniversary Loreleis concert by serving as a liaison with the technical crew at Carolina Performing Arts. I oversaw lighting, sound, set, and script. Additionally, I managed ticket sales, reserved seating, and publicity revolving the concert. We brought in $7,560 in ticket revenue.

As the CenterFest Assistant, I organized CenterFest, Durham’s 47th arts festival which garnered 30k attendees and over $250k in onsite revenues. After a two-year COVID-induced hiatus, there were many moving parts that had changed. I re-standardized the CenterFest planning process by creating templates of performer contracts, calendar listing submissions, acceptance/rejection letters, festival information packets, and volunteer inquiriesI wanted to absorb as much from this experience as I could, so I took on other projects, including formulating a promotional strategy to encourage Durham arts viewers to participate in Arts and Economic Prosperity 6, a national study working to prove the economic power of the non-profit arts sector. Additionally, I assisted with the Durham Arts Network, a directory of artists, arts organizations, cultural resources, arts businesses, and arts venues based in Durham and adjacent counties to connect community members to local creators and arts resources

As a Storytelling Intern, I lead the storytelling team in sending out weekly articles that updated our teams’ progress and effectively spread Isabella Santos’ story to move people to donate toward a great cause.Ultimately, we were the winning team of 12 college students and raised $30K in just two months by organizing out-of-the-box fundraising events, including, “Concert for a Cure” where team members performed gigs and donated all proceeds. ISF has an annual 5k, so I corresponded with companies to solicit big-ticket sponsorships and raffle items for the race.
