Currently working as an editorial intern in the Bengaluru location of The Hindu Newspaper, editing, synthesizing, and correcting authored articles prior to publication and distribution. Displayed strong analysis and synthesis abilities, along with a knack to retain and communicate key information from lengthy pieces. Through working as an editorial and reporting intern, I have displayed my adaptability in the journalism industry, from identifying and authoring newsworthy stories to compiling ideas and editing existing works. Previously served as a reporting, research, and authorial intern for over a month, writing and publishing five stories covering a range of political, cultural, and welfare stories. Demonstrated my proactive ability to identify newsworthy stories and gather relevant information to evidence them. In this position, I also interacted with local grassroots organizations and groups, helped in canvassing and interview efforts, and engaged with the office as required. Through this internship, I diversified my portfolio of written engagements, from research papers and parliamentary material to the media and mass communication. I enhanced my reporting skills and further developed my collaboration, leadership, and team-building abilities. I also demonstrated my ability to work in time-sensitive and information-sensitive environments, developing stories on accelerated timelines.

Over the course of two months, I worked for the Indian National Congress' Research Department: the All India Congress Committee Research Department. During this hybrid professional opportunity, I authored parliamentary bill briefs, parliamentary questions, and constituency profiles designed to be used in the Monsoon session of the Indian parliament. Key topics of these parliamentary materials included but were not limited to the “Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization (Amendment) Bill, 2023,” the “Uniform Civil Code brief,” and “Indo-China Border Security issues.” Also, I developed ordinances, resolutions, and background guides for upcoming legislation and campaign trails. These were informed by my in-classroom interactions with political mobilization, and tailored by analyses of previous parliamentary and presidential campaigning efforts across the world.Through this internship, I gained relevant experience in the operations of a political research department, directly engaging with a range of works from legislation development to assisting in the design of campaign trails. I hope to further collaborate with the Department, further supporting their mission for a more equitable and equal civil society.

Participated in the American University Resident Hall Association Senate, representing 700+ first-year students. Helped in the implementation of the Senate's plans and goals, including social fairs, stress-relieving events, and study sessions. Further, I shared residents' problems and queries, developing solutions towards them, and aiding in the creation of successful, sustainable plans of action for the future.

During this two month research internship with the Takshashila Institution, I researched, authored, and edited a short research paper on Arab-Israeli political and cultural tensions in 2021, drawing a specific focus on their effects with Indian trade and investment.Through this opportunity, I gained the experience of working for a policy think tank, developing materials that inform legislative decisions, and curating briefs that can be used for educational initiatives. As a junior in high school, this internship gave me the chance to develop research outside of a school-level curriculum, helping me identify professional interests and routes for the future.

Held the position of Student Body President for the 2020-2021 academic year, where I had the privilege of being in charge of an elected Student Government. Led ideation, planning, and execution of a range of fraternal and development events, multiple fundraising initiatives, and established legacy projects benefiting students, teachers and staff, and the immediate neighborhood.I also contributed towards school policies, addressed inter-student conflict resolution, and helped diversify educational attainment through buddy systems, expert-talk programs, and increased involvement of physical and mental health exercises.
