Supervisor: Prof. Robert ‘Skip’ ComerMy work as a research assistant for The COMET Lab at the School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI included supporting and creating data-driven solutions for various research teams at IUPUI at the Indianapolis campus. I independently designed and developed databases (SQL) along with clinical information systems for IU Medical School - Student Outreach Clinic as well as The Jane Pauley Community Health Centre for their day-to-day use as well as for research purposes. I also helped research groups of the IUPUI campus conduct data analysis for clinical validations using R and Python. This has given me hands-on experience with clinical databases – management and data analysis as well as the ability to understand and work with different types of data such as numerical, textual as well as images. I am also familiar with HIPAA compliant and RedCap affiliated databases. I worked in a fast-paced environment where I interacted and coordinated with the multiple teams simultaneously to assess their needs and requirements and provided data-driven solutions and outputs in the form of creating new databases, performing queries, data analysis, creating reports or data visualizations, for them to get a better understanding of their data.

Generated specialized doser patterns using Embedded C to control the automated injection of fluids in the exhaust system, reducing the greenhouse gas emissions in Cummins manufactured exhaust systems for engines and generators. Worked on Cummins Customer Product Services, that included interacting with various clients and resolving issues related to PCBs in the exhaust systems.
