A student of Economics who absolutely loves what she is studying. Interested in development economics, international economics, industrial organisation and public policy.Practically applied Econ concepts in the field of healthcare, policy, gender equality, and sustainable finance.Defining moments in my academic life:1. In grade 9, I had my first class of Econ 101, for the CBSE kids, it was 'The story of village Palampur'. Instantly knew this was something I wanted to dive deeper into. The way it combines beautiful mathematical equations with humanitarian issues! and how it draws from various fields of research are two of my favourite things about Economics.2. Decided to do my Bachelor's in Economics from Christ (Deemed to be University), got a 4.00 GPA in my first semester and tried to continue that streak! Graduated with a first class with distinction and a 3.96/4.00 GPA. During those 3 years, had the lovely opportunity to learn from some of the best professors and take up cool classes such as 'Neuroeconomics', 'Extracting thought from Netflix', and 'Economics of Literature'. Was part of a folk dance team, a theatre group, and of course the Economics club.3. Currently pursuing MS in Economic and Social Sciences at Bocconi, Milan which in 3 words has been: challenging, rewarding, and goodfoodandgoodvibes. Was introduced to competition law and policy for the first time and developed a keen interest.Beyond this, I love to travel and pretending to be a pretentious art and food critic, read (mostly fiction, my favourites: The Fountainhead, Flowers for Algernon, and The Goldfinch), do yoga, and bake (self-proclaimed banana bread expert)! I have lived in over 10 different Indian cities throughout my life, I have a younger sister who is one of my biggest inspirations, and I am named after a Vedic scholar and philosopher.
