Created a Hmong Alphabet sheet for visual learners and engaging lesson plans that incorporated the hear-see-do methodology of learning. Plan and taught enrichment activities such as Hmong embroidery, theater, and singing for students to appreciate their cultural identity and develop self-confidence in completion of projects. Document and report students learning to parents. Students' phonics recognition improved by 75% and 80% of the students return to the weekend program. Left position to focus on Guest Teacher job and local community projects.

Contributed Hmong language translation and interpretation skills and cultural competency to the school environment through assistance in coordination of cultural events, parent teacher meetings, and students' social and emotional learning. Successfully improved English Language students' literacy through the small intervention support groups and communicating students' successes to teachers and supervisor.
