I am currently in my second year (P2) in the PharmD professional program at North Dakota State University. I am a very motivated and hardworking student hoping to gain valuable experience that I can apply towards a future career as a pharmacist. In addition, I am always continually trying to expand my knowledge, leadership, and communication skills within the pharmaceutical field. As of May 2022, I have been an inpatient pharmacy intern at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota. I have preformed many duties such as filling prescriptions, delivering medications to inpatient units, preparing sterile and non-sterile compounds, preparing chemotherapy, medication reconciliation, and gaining very valuable experience with patients and knowledge in the healthcare field. My coworkers would describe me as, hardworking, persistent, and efficient. I am always trying to help out my other coworkers with anything needed, while also getting tasks done in an efficient and timely manner. I am also maintaining attention to detail that an intern must possess while ensuring medication safety and proper medications are being utilized, which ensures the best patient care possible.Following my anticipated graduation in May 2027, I want to continue my education by pursuing a residency where I plan to specialize in ambulatory care with emphasis in pediatrics. I am very excited to keep working towards this goal and see where my knowledge and qualities will take me in the future.
