🎈 I am an economist, senior international development professional, passionate gender and green finance expert and speaker. I have been working in international development the past 20 years on projects reforming budgets (and never without a gender perspective). So, Feminist Economics is not only my area of work, but my true passion. ✔✔Please reach out if you are interested in collaborating: gender-responsive finance (public and private), green and climate finance, ESG, if you need a key-note speaker or just want to bounce ideas. I am always ready to meet and talk..And now a bit longer version for the patient ones:My biggest insight: by including gender considerations, we are not only coming closer to achieving de-facto gender equality, but we are also making financial and investments better: more effective, transparent, and equitable. I have been working with countries all over the world to help governments and companies make their budgets fairer and more gender-responsive.During my work as a team leader for one of the largest global projects on gender budgeting funded by Swedish Government in Ukraine (2014-2021), Ukraine became globally recognized for their progressive work on introducing gender considerations in their budget process that remained to date. For years, I have been cooperating with the International Monetary Fund in their training centers all over the world to train finance officers in GRB. I have been working with the World Bank in different projects, most prominently in Indonesia, Parliament in Zambia funded by EU, UN Women in Morocco, The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and many other partners. As the key expert, I was involved in development of a Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) Gender Assessment Framework used to assess the integration of gender equality in public finance systems globally, and was a member of the UN/OECD Working group that developed SDG indicator 5c1 (tracking funds for gender equality). Finally, I am a keynote speaker, and love topics of intersection of gender, climate and finance. I delivered a TED talk on gender-responsive budgeting to TED Women audience in Palm Springs that now has close to 2 mil views!!https://www.ted.com/talks/maja_bosnic_how_to_share_public_money_fairly?language=enCurrently, I am in doctoral program (never too late:) at University of Sarajevo at Inter-Disciplinary Studies Program. My research area is in gender-responsive budgeting (surprise!).
