Ever since my first biology class, I've been fascinated by the microscopic world. This passion led me to a fulfilling role as a Research Assistant at ACIES BIO Ltd., where I explore genetics and biotechnology. My journey started at the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia, where I delved into nematology and plant bacteriology, tackling plant diseases through innovative biocontrol methods. At ACIES BIO, I thrive on the excitement of laboratory research, constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in microbiology and biotechnology. My day-to-day involves hands-on lab work, where I apply advanced techniques to uncover new scientific insights. One of my proudest achievements is contributing to projects that enhance our understanding of microbial interactions. My educational background includes a Master's degree in Food Biotechnology and Biorefining from Wageningen University & Research. This solid foundation, paired with practical experience, enables me to approach problems from a unique angle. Courses in advanced fermentation and food microbiology, alongside my thesis on vitamin B12 enriched lupine tempeh, have equipped me with a deep understanding of the intersection between food science and microbiology.I'm passionate about continuing to innovate in the field of microbiology and biotechnology, particularly in sustainable enviormental practices and enviormental microbiology. I'm always eager to connect with fellow researchers, industry professionals, and anyone interested in these areas. I look forward to connecting with fellow researchers and industry professionals to explore collaborative opportunities that drive forward the frontiers of science and technology!
