During the period of decommissioning of Svendborg Kraftvarme as a company, I have acted as Chief Operations manager with responsibility for the daily operation, optimization and maintenance of the energy utilization plant. And not least, motivation and situational management of 21 employees, (15 are operators on 3-shift and 2 operations managers), has been an essential task in the current situation.Since my employment april 2021; the operation has been extended 11 months; the plant has been in the sales process; the sales contract was entered into and waived again; resulting in the fact that the plant closes on 30.11.2023. All of this took place in public via Svendborg Municipality's website and Fyns Amts Avis in the period October 2021-April 2023.Results:Interrupted employee exodus, as from 1.1.2020 to 1.4.2022 there were a turnover of 67% of employees. After that, first termination was 30.6.2023.Increased commitment among the middle management as well as operator team, resulting in an increased level of competence and knowledge.The operating budget has been met by a large margin for the first 2 years in the position, where the condition of the plant has been improved / maintained at the same time.Systemized operational meetings for operations, with introduction of stable processes and involvement of all employees along the way.Educated 6 marine engineering students, 2 of whom are employed today.Development of employees with a view to their new employment after the closure of Svendborg Kraftvarme.

Being one of two engineers sharing the responsibility of the daily operation of the energy plant, including motivation and leadership of 11 operators on 3 shifts and the overall maintenance of the entire waste incineration energy plant. My main responsibility areas are to plan the maintenance of the steam turbine, the wet flue gas treatment and the waste water treatment including planning of tasks, purchase and having handson during the execution of the maintenance together with the employees as well as subcontractors.I handle optimization projects, from making innovative ideas to market analysis, communication with suppliers, purchase, installation and follow-up of the changes in the production system.Further I have a close cooperation with the local as well as the national authorities concerning the quality of the waste water and reassessment of the environmental permit. As Lead engineer, I handle the technical problems on ship upgrade projects, newbuildings included commissioning on board. Quality review of the project before commissioning, may show various problems, such as errors in setup or misunderstandings of the desired function. When reviewing, among other things, 270 images for the alarm system for one ship, I find several errors that can make the solution unsafe for the team sailing the ship. At the right time and thoroughness in review, errors and deficiencies in installation on board world wide are reduced. The result: Brand management for ABB and credit to the service engineers who travel out and install the system.On 2 major projects I have been site manager on ships during the upgrade of the alarm system.On one upgrade, an electrician subcontractor, install new terminals for the alarm system. During the test, the clamps do not work and the team troubleshoots. I find massive flaws in the assembly, and with constructive dialogue and quick response we succeeded in delivering the good product on time - to the customer's satisfaction.I have been the main programmer and driving force with the installation of upgrade of 24 upgrades on ships alarm systems incl. upgrade of live controllers returning to normal operation. On board I give the crew instructions in the new system securing their safety on the journey ahead. Upon receipt of inquiry, I write quation on water fire extinguishing systems for the marine industry. At order of new plants, I review the specifications and make the finished production plans, purchase parts for and carry out installation and production drawings in AutoCad.
