Throughout my life, helping others has been an integral part of who I am. I come from an extremely diverse background and have learned how to connect with people from all corners of the world, something I genuinely enjoy doing. I decided to become a financial advisor to feed my passion for meeting people and be able to help them along their journey in planning for a financially solid life. At Edward Jones, we strive to make sure clients feel heard, and that we understand their unique story. We also work to help clients understand the investment world in terms they can relate to. My goal is to exceed Edward Jones' expectations and make sure clients deeply understand how much I care about their success. In the year prior to joining Edward Jones, I spent a lot of time bettering myself. I lost 80 pounds, learned how to sing and play electric guitar from scratch, published music on all major music streaming services, and moved from Ohio to California, all while studying for the licensing exams required to participate in this field. As I settle into life in the Bay Area, I intend to keep my life just as vibrant and busy in order to keep developing myself personally and professionally to better serve my community, and ultimately, become a better version of myself. I am a big believer in diversity. My mother is from North Carolina, and my father is Palestinian and Lebanese. Straddling these two cultures my entire life has been a challenge at times – I've spent evenings in Southern Baptist chapels for weddings, and I've also spent a large part of my life doing donuts in the middle of the desert in an SUV with some buddies. I don't know exactly what that makes me, but what I can promise is that it's created an open mind, global worldview, and an understanding that all people, regardless of background want to be heard and understood. Everyone's path is different, and I hope that by reading a small part of my journey, you'll allow me to be a big part of yours.

The Project Coordinator Internship was designed to help NU-Q get their bookstore up and running, and I dealt with tasks ranging from supplier relations to reviewing contracts.

This position entailed a lot of face to face time with residents in student housing, and was really catered towards those with good communication and conflict resolution skills. There was some administrative tasks involved, but the main focus was keeping residents safe, satisfied, and happy.
