"Being a part of the formulation team in Chanelle, I am responsible for many projects with various dosage forms (Solid dosage forms, shampoos, oral solutions, suspensions). Following is some of the tasks that I carry out with excellence in my current role:”* Literature survey.* Designing Preformulation, Drug excipients interaction, Brand Leader characterization, and materials characterization.* Performing formulation trials based on the literature survey, common sense and based on the extracted information from the preformulation trials, DMF, API characteristics and/or reverse engineering activities.* Scale up activities in the GMP areas and troubleshooting.* Carrying out tech transfer activities in the manufacturing sites as per the GMP regulations. i.e., a 3-month visit to the manufacturing site in Ireland to execute pilot batches of different dosage forms.* Preparing all the needed documents for scale up, tech transfer activities while maintaining GDP such as Manufacturing work orders, Stability protocols, Process validation protocols.* Interpret the data from the executed trials, deduct the required information to build up conclusions and decisions for the projects.* Having a good exposure on the project’s life cycle, starting from sourcing the API, excipients, and packaging, up to registration of the finished products.* Preparing the required CTD components, including the pharmaceutical development reports, Nitrosamines risk assessments, and Elemental impurities evaluation in the finished products.* Answering deficiency letters from the different regulatory bodies (such as EMA, Health Canada).*To follow up with the latest updates and the hot topics in the science that interfere with the industry, such as: Titanium Dioxide free formulations Parabens free formulations, and suitable flavours for infants formulations.

* Performing the physical testing of the finished products, such as: hardness, disintegration, friability, density (bulk, tap), liquid density, water content (LOD, Karl Fischer), Particle Size Analysis (sieve analysis), pH, thickness, capsules length.* Carrying out various chemical testing procedures, such as: assay, content uniformity, related substances, dissolution, identification, on different instruments (Shimazu, Agilant, Dionex, Waters).* Hands on the following analytical techniques: Titration, back titration, melting point measurement, TLC, diffusion studies, and sulphated Ash.
