Profile:Mr Majeed Bashir is a physicist with a teaching and administrative experience of almost 40 years, who strived hard to achieve consistent high standards. A flexible as well as a hard working member and a leader, who is able to use own initiative under pressure to achieve objectives within tight deadlines. He possesses strong coordination, planning and communication skills used to excellent effect in executing tasks to extremely high standards.Mr Bashir graduated in 1979 from Punjab University Lahore. He was adjudged as the best student and was awarded Luqman scholarship during his study. He then volunteered himself to serve Jama’at under Nusrat Jahan Waqf Scheme initiated by Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih III. He was posted to Ghana where he served for more than 10 years. His first appointment was at Ahmadiyya Secondary School in Salaga, a school in the northern region of Ghana, where he served as a vice principal for two years. In the same capacity he has also served at WA Teacher Training College, upper region Ghana for one year after which he was posted as a principal to Essarkyir Secondary Technical and Locational School, central region Ghana. He was fortunate to work alongside Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V (May Allah be his helper) when Hazoor was also posted in Ghana. After successfully completing his Waqf, he came back to Pakistan for his parents and pursued teaching profession. Since then he has been working as the head of Physics department at Lahore Grammar School, Pakistan in various branches. Apart from teaching and working as a chief examiner for British council, he has also been actively involved in arranging trips to NASA space centre and also preparing teams to compete in various international science competitions. The blessings of Waqf were so immense that since then he has excelled in his profession and has gained a reputed name as one of the bests in A’level physics.
