I have been in the service industry for nearly 25 years. I co-opened and operated a coffee shop and roastery in 2006 with my business partner and two employees. It has since grown to four locations and almost 30 employees. I was able to use so many skills throughout the years I played an active roll. I was able to help both customers and employees, write schedules, manage payroll, conduct quarterly reviews and even tap into my passion for writing, by drawing up our introduction and training manuals. I thrive in fast paced, multi-tasking environments where I get to interact with people. I’m naturally a problem solver and enjoy the adventure of a challenge. And let’s be honest; at the end of the day, I enjoy making a delicious and well crafted cocktail and drinking it while diving into a good book.
