My research group is developing innovative micro-engineered platforms with transformative applications in cell biology, cancer diagnostics, and infertility treatment. By harnessing the power of Microfluidics, we are creating commercially viable products that promise to make a lasting impact on healthcare. Our deep expertise enables us to develop groundbreaking solutions that significantly improve patient outcomes, addressing some of the most pressing challenges in modern medicine.In addition to our research endeavours, we have founded two pioneering startups: Smart MCs and Neogenix Biotechnologies. Smart MCs specializes in microfluidic technologies for the large-scale production of adherent cells in the foodtech and biotechnology sectors. Neogenix Biosciences leverages our micro-engineered and AI platforms to develop market-ready solutions for infertility treatments, offering new hope to individuals and couples and enhancing reproductive health outcomes.Beyond our research and entrepreneurial activities, I am passionate about education and the cultivation of future talent in microfluidics. I teach a specialized course titled "Microfluidics in Biology and Medicine" at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). This course is meticulously designed to nurture the next generation of skilled professionals, equipping them with both the theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to excel in this rapidly evolving field. Through this course, students engage with the latest advancements in microfluidics, fostering innovation and preparing them to contribute meaningfully to scientific and medical advancements.Our collective efforts in research, development, and education are driven by a steadfast commitment to advancing microfluidics and its diverse applications.
