So, I could just copy & paste my CV and complete background here, but I think it is much more interesting – and less boring- to tell you what I do and how I feel about my profession in simple and plain words: I love translating.For me, choosing to study translation was just something that felt natural. I had been studying English since I was a child (my mom being an English teacher), I had attended a German school -also by chance – and I had been studying Italian for a while. I soon realized that I had not only a passion for languages but also for translating. You may wonder what I like about spending hours in front of a text and “retyping” it in a different language, well, I like the fact that I can learn a lot about the language itself but also about other interesting subjects, whether medical, IT, marketing, tourism, sciences, travel… After graduating I had the chance to work with professionals from different countries and cultures, and I also lived abroad for several years. Now I know that I learnt the most important aspects of my job from them. (Thank you all, btw!)A few years later I had the opportunity to cofound my own translation agency and I did! It was -and still is- a great challenge but I enjoy the hard work and the need to multitasking. Nowadays most people think that anyone knowing a language can deliver a good translation. Let me tell you they are wrong. Translating involves several aspects that are learnt through experience and hard work. A good professional translation can make the difference whether in your professional or your personal life. And that’s what I am here for: to help you improve your personal image, market your new product, boost your company’s sales or get your international employees understand that complicated technical manual on how to operate a dreadful machine.
