My role is a level 3 escalation engineer. This role involved troubleshooting, root cause analysis and vendor escalation. My daily task is to maintain our customer’s environment and resolve infrastructure problems. My specialities in this role are VMware, Hyper-V, Exchange and storage related issues. Service Field Engineer, responsible for on and off site visits for all clients of Evros covering the Dublin area. This role involved troubleshooting, installation, configuration and where needed the setup of sites where required. Site diversity, covers a diverse range of industries for example the Hospitality to Medical to Law, this role requires the engineer to cover all aspects of IT and to be where needed, their representatives when dealing with 3rd party companies. It also included the implementation of any bespoke software that may be required by the client. Offering support to other members of staff and sharing site knowledge in relation to site specific applications and issues.

In this role I managed the company’s backup and restore on HP DataProtector. I also looked after the Windows OS updates and maintained the hardware environment. (Resolved drive and firmware related issues, handled the vendor escalations for hardware)

Health and Leisure CentreNetwork operating, data transfer analysing, operation and administration of Windows 2003 domain controller and SQL server. Monitoring and operating of entire system including: e-mail service, user permissions, the workstation environments, backup service. I regularly made reports and analysis to the management. I developed a system for ambulatory appointment scheduling using MS Access. I managed the hardware/software purchasing, installation and troubleshooting.

Level 1&2 onsite support.Keeping contact with customers and suppliers. Solution of hardware-software problems of our customers: software and hardware installation, notebook repairing. Coordination of participating on tenders. Hardware maintenance: HP and Epson printers, Fujitsu-Siemens, HP laptops and PCs, cash machines.

I developed and educated curriculum in database design and control, SQL language, higher mathematics, hardware knowledge, network controlling and MS Access. I took part in administration and service of the computer network. I had daily routine tasks – next to the educating – the network authorization, servicing the webpage, controlling an ORACLE server, on which the students database was running, controlling an Exchange and a Proxy server, further keeping contact (phone, Internet, service) with the external partner firms.

I gave lecture in function analysis and probability calculus to the programmer and economist students. My special area was the real function analysis.
