Overall, helping to coordinate the logistical and volunteer work of over 2000 student volunteers from 8 Utah colleges and universities, a survey that has been conducted by student volunteers and professors every election cycle since 1982. The project culminates with presenting the results of our survey on KBYU-TV, explaining who Utah voted for and why. More specific coordination tasks include: Questionnaire creation and question selection following standardized statistical practices. Determining a sample and stratifying the state based on country, congressional district, and precinct. Coordinating the over-the-phone surveying of early Utah voters, printing and distribution of over 40,000 postcards inviting individuals to take the survey, planning and coordinating the survey on Election Day at voting locations across the state, and the data analytics to properly evaluate and investigate the Utah vote.
