Manage technical service team acting as tier 2 direct customer support improving remote problem resolution to 98%. Increased production capacity by 50% while reducing lead time by 25% utilizing industrial time studies and KPI improvement. The increase was partially achieved through the creation of Excel macros to reduce raw material waste decreasing average per unit cost by 5%.In addition I created and implemented company wide EHS program reducing injuries by 25% year over year. Implemented LEAN Six-Sigma tools that reduce set-up time and improve process yields while reducing raw material inventory.

I create and maintain a $20MM+ capital program for the fiscal year for 20 assigned facilities. I monitor progress of projects through completion and resolve issues as necessary. For larger projects I manage multiple priorities within established project deadlines. As a part of a committee I evaluate plant and manufacturing processes and reconcile those with global best practices. We compile recommendation for changes in plant operations and processes. In addition we analyze operating efficiency and determine a road map to achieve global operational goals. We have been able to reduce total raw material consumption of evaluated plants by greater than 15%. In addition total production per man hour has been increased by 5%.I perform hands on assessments of manufacturing facilities & equipment, and recommend improvements to them based on expected return on investment. Based on the assessments I recommend and requisition equipment, tools, and supplies for the manufacturing group from multiple vendors and maximizing purchasing value. I complete, submit and track capital expenditures and provides reports to upper management. When necessary I coordinate special projects involving the manufacturing area. Finally I ensure that all project activities comply with company policies and regulations.

As a project engineer I focus on the optimization of plant asphalt, granule, steam, hot oil, adhesive, process, packaging, cooling, and palletizing systems utilizing capital projects and process improvements tools. For projects I coordinate labor, material, equipment, and supervision to successfully complete them with zero safety infractions, project delays, or cost increases. Projects include anything to increase the productivity of manufacturing equipment or reduce costs to operate machinery. Projects may also be focused on re-directing current resources to better maintain equipment and make current processes more efficient while utilizing readily available resources.Since starting I have successfully completed scoping, designing, bidding, constructing, and commissioning on 20 capital projects totaling over $20M. In 2016 and 2017 I was a team member of a 4 man team that designed and installed a new parallel manufacturing line increasing capacity by 33%. I performed duties as acting Engineering Manager for the Dallas site (3/17-9/17). In 2017 I completed a new $4M project to incorporate a new raw material in coordination with site logistics, operations, maintenance departments, and quality. Since February 2016 I have held the role of Environmental, Health, and Safety leadership team Co-Chair, and one of my key duties is ensuring that all capital project work adheres to the factory and local safety codes. Monthly I produce written project status, finance, timeline reports, and conducted monthly project update meetings with senior executivesOutside of my role as project engineer with GAF I Supervisor and Recruiter for Co-op program for the Dallas site. I perform raw material quality assurance activities in coordination with the quality department. When needed I conduct problem-solving investigations and troubleshooting to assure root cause is identified and ensure countermeasures and recurrence prevention are fully implemented.
