I help prepare civil, construction, and environmental engineers for the people part of being an engineer. I teach courses in engineering communication and lead other professional development opportunities for our graduate students. I am an advocate for student mental health and wellness.I'm also the Director of Science Communication for the Science and Technologies for Phosphorus Sustainability (STEPS) Center, where I lead efforts for increasing awareness of one of the least well-known environmental challenges of our time: phosphorus sustainability.
