CurrentLegal research: Identifying and retrieving information to help lawyers make legal decisions. This may include researching legal precedents.Drafting documents: Creating or editing legal documents, such as contracts, correspondence, exhibits, appeals, and briefs.Organizing paperwork: Maintaining legal files and gathering case information.Scheduling meetings: Arranging consultations with clients, partners, and depositions.Communicating with clients: Taking client messages, collecting information, and updating clients on case progress.Filing documents: Preparing and filing documents with the court and opposing counsel.Supporting attorneys in trials: Attending discovery, closings, negotiations, and court hearings, and delivering necessary files to the lawyer.Calendaring deadlines and/or hearings, DCOs, etc.Submit invoices according to insurance guidelines.
