Senior Protection And Cccm CoordinatorOsshd(Organization For Social Services, Health And Development) Jun 2021 - Jan 2023Mekelle▪ Acting as the sub-regional CCCM Cluster focal point for Mekelle (the capital of Tigray Region) after receiving CCCM ToT by the cluster.▪ Led the Relocation Task Force in Mekelle to support IDPs to relocate to other collective sites and camps. ▪ Implemented UNHCR-led voluntary return exercise to support IDPs to return to their places of origin, including distribution of cash for transportation, funded by UNHCR. ▪ Team leader of a 25-person team for implementing activities for the Protection and Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) project, funded by UNHCR, and CCCM through area-based approach project in Mekelle, funded by IOM, including site profiling and service monitoring, facilitating bi-weekly meeting between IDP leaders and humanitarian partners in Mekelle as part of the AAP/CwC efforts, and compiling weekly 5W and other periodical reports. ▪ Successfully secured more than 3,000,000 USD of funding for 2023 onwards, including leading the proposal development of a 2,000,000 USD USAID-funded project implementing community-based integrated HIV/AIDS services for vulnerable children in Tigray. The project’s financial scale combined with its multi-sector/location/year design was the first of its kind for OSSHD. ▪ Team leader for the project entitled “Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) in IDP sites of Tigray Region” implemented by OSSHD under the fund from International Council of Voluntarily Agencies (ICVA). ▪ Coordinating protection activities implemented by OSSHD by enhancing the set-up of the protection response team. ▪ Improving the organization’s information management to support better response and advocacy.▪ Liaising with the Protection Cluster in Tigray, local government authorities and donors to support advocacy on various protection issues, including access to basic services. ▪ Authorize payments relating to durable solutions for IDPs in Tigray region. -
