Project involved $34 million dollars of renovations to over 100,000 square feet of the hospital. Led carefully coordinated effort to design and implement new infrastructure throughout occupied hospital, including new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, new telecommunications infrastructure, new Building Automation System, new IT server room and UPS rooms, new pharmacy and clean rooms, and brand new patient rooms with patient environmental controls, patient lifts, headwalls, and custom accessible fixtures. Spearheaded installation of innovative Circadian Rhythm Lighting throughout patient and staff areas. Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Backfill RenovationsProject Architect on complex multi-phase renovations to the Wood Building and Children’s Seashore House at CHOP. Developed detailed schedule of user input meetings, space plan reviews, drawing sign-offs, DOH reviews, and permit drawing submissions to keep pace with contractor’s ability to complete construction.

In charge of managing design, documentation, and construction of all projects for ecologically-focused firm. Saw multiple large-scale facilities through all phases; master planning through construction. Developed extensive knowledge base in green design elements such as rainwater collection, daylighting, wastewater management, green roofs, and geothermal wells, as well as LEED documentation. Project Highlights:Horticulture Center at the Morris Arboretum (LEED Platinum) - New ConstructionCollaborated on planning, design, and construction of innovative $13 million, 20,840 square-foot multi-use facility. Directed bi-weekly meeting with contractors and consultants throughout entirety of construction phase.Moorhead Environmental Complex at the Stroud Water Research Center (LEED Platinum) - New ConstructionTeam leader throughout project trajectory of $5 million education and public outreach addition at the Stroud Water Research Center. Created dynamic education space while guiding successful achievement of LEED Platinum rating.

Integral team member and leader on all phases of design and implementation for high-end residential construction in Connecticut and on the Rhode Island coast, in the range of 2,600 to 12,200 sf. Utilized hand sketching, 3D virtual models, and physical models to refine client goals. In addition to acting as project manager on six projects and holding primary responsibility for construction documents and design development on several others, played a vital role in maintaining office document and CAD standards.
