Churchland Lab- Department Of Neurobiology

Study how cortical regions and their communication channels influence decision making in mice over time. Conduct behavioral training sessions and employ MATLAB for data analysis.

Lead the Survivor and Caregiver Engagement Committee of UCLA's American Cancer Society on Campus club after being a general committee member for two years.

Organize activities and ceremonies at UCLA's Relay for Life for cancer survivors and caregivers to foster a supportive environment for connection and empowerment within the cancer community. Craft and deliver heartfelt cards to cancer patients with committee members at Ronald Reagan Medical Center on a biweekly basis.

Iwamoto Laboratory Of Quantum Radiobiology

Assisted with laboratory experiments to exploit multidrug resistance mechanisms for countering radiation toxicity and neurocognitive deficits in pediatric medulloblastoma patients. Worked closely with the lab's Principal Investigator to execute applicable research techniques, primarily single cell suspensions and clonogenic assays.

Collaborated with a committee of six other students to organize volunteering events for Alumni Scholars in partnership with organizations across Los Angeles, including Los Angeles Team Mentoring (LATM), Heal the Bay, and Tree People.

Helped develop campus-wide service opportunities for Alumni Scholars such as Bruin Blankets, in which blankets were made and donated to local homeless shelters, and Locks of Love, where members of the UCLA community could donate their hair to children suffering from medical-related hair loss.
