About Makia Krippner
As a graduate from the University of Minnesota, I have a passion for both psychology and the inner workings of the family system. I have worked as research support for two different university departments along with volunteering as a research assistant for the Autism Mentorship Program. I enjoyed spending my last semester of undergraduate as a psychology tutor for first year students. I have also spent time as a Direct Care Professional (DCP). As a DCP, I fulfilled many roles for the residents that I cared for. I have experience in advocating for my nonverbal clients, promoting personal growth and independence among the residents, and carrying out medical administrations on shift. Since graduation, I have continued to work within patient care at PrairieCare, a mental health clinic where I work one on one with patients with treatment resistant depression.
